THESIS CLINICS AND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES
DEAR HIGHLY ESTEEMED ACADEMIC,
There is a serious publishing gap between academics in developing countries and those in developed countries because manuscripts from authors in developing countries reflect inadequate attention to research design and analysis. It is our considered opinion that organising THESIS CLINIC and INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES will help in bridging this gap.
In collaboration with academic institutions and research institutes, Welfare and Industrial Promotions (WIPRO) International organises the following INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES, each of which is accompanied by a THESIS CLINIC as described below:

To improve the research skills of the Conference participants (especially graduate/PhD students and new-career academics), Thesis Clinic will hold 3 on the day of arrival of each International Conference on:
* 7 in University of PortHarcourt Business School.
* 6 in Evangel University Akaeze Ebonyi State
* 10th July 2017 in University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria
* 6th November 2017 in University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State, Nigeria
Thesis Clinic contents
Thesis Clinic will cover (1) Types of research (2) How to choose a good thesis topic (3) Identifying a researchable title (4) Essential parts of a thesis(5) Research Methodology (6) Thesis writing technique and (7) How to develop journal papers from thesis/project.
Thesis Clinic style
Research Mentors will teach the above subjects for an hour. Thereafter, each participant will present (5 mins) his/her Thesis Proposal or Work-in-Progress for constructive criticisms (5 mins).
Qualification for Thesis Clinic participation
Participant must be a graduate research student or an aspiring one or a new-career academic, who must have registered for the Conference and for the Thesis Clinic.
Registration for Thesis Clinic
An aspiring participant must register in advance by supplying full name, institution, contact (e-mail and mobile phone number), proposed thesis title, and concept note (summary of research motive, problem statement, aim and objectives, and methodology of the thesis) as one-page MsWord document attachment. Participation fee and Certificate
A participation fee of 5,000 Naira or 50 US$ will be collected on the floor of the Thesis Clinic. A certificate of participation will be issued to each participant.
